NFC Super Bowl Reps: The Minnesota Vikings

With the playoffs just a mere few weeks away, it’s pretty unclear who will be representing the NFC in the Super Bowl. There are a lot of new teams in the playoff hunt this year and it makes the playoffs that much more exciting. A lot of people are picking the dominant Philadelphia Eagles who have lost just a game and are playing a big game that will tell us a lot in Seattle tonight. Some feel maybe that the explosive Rams could make a run this year. And some even feel that the Saints are back and will be running their way through the playoffs. But hear me out: The Vikings will be repping the the NFC in the Super Bowl this year.

I know it’s crazy, and it’s hard to say Case Keenum will be a Super Bowl contending quarterback. But that defense makes any hot offense as cold as the Minnesota snow. Everyone knows the saying “defense wins championships” and it’s taken QBs like my guy Brad Johnson and a one-hit-away-from-death Peyton Manning to Super Bowls. I think this D could do it for Case Keenum as well. That defense has been consistently shutting down some of the strongest offenses all season. If Case Keenum can just simply manage as well as he has been doing, the Vikings will be the first team to play in the Super Bowl in their own stadium.

I mean hey, unless they play the Pats in the Super Bowl, I’ll be rooting for the Vikings. Case could use a Super Bowl win. I watched Hard Knocks a few years ago when he was with the Rams and the one time his wife made it on the show she bitched about constantly moving. I’m sure it’s so hard when the money he’s bringing home is buying you whatever the hell you want. I’m sure she loves him and treats him well, but when she treats his job like a hobby that affects her life for the worse, you gotta root for Case Keenum.

I will bring this article back if they actually make to the big one.
